Chiavari, stadium renewed thanks to synthetic turf

Exactly in the center of the magnificent Gulf of Tigullio, overlooking the Ligurian Sea of the Eastern Riviera, lies Chiavari, a city of 27,398 inhabitants third in the metropolitan area after Genoa and Rapallo.

Italgreen landed in this beautiful setting to build the new synthetic turf soccer field at the town stadium in the Caperana locality. Inaugurated last month, this is a true rebirth, a work that has come to completion in an important neighborhood of the city of Chiavari.

Italgreen for the turf resurfacing installed its 62 Double 4 GC that will undergo LND testing in a few weeks in order to obtain LND Professional national homologation. An important milestone for the city stadium that thanks to this redevelopment will return to its former glory and will be able to boast of having one of the best synthetic turf solutions in terms of aesthetic and structural quality; the special combination of multiple Double4 yarns in fact guarantees excellent technical characteristics; the yarn has an accentuated two-tone formula and a special mix of yarns that recreate the effect of a natural field in perfect condition both to the eye and to the touch. Italgreen in designing this product passed wear and UV deterioration tests with flying colors, elements that make Double 4 an excellent ally with exceptional durability.

A stadium serving the territory

The resurfacing of the turf - upgraded to synthetic grass - and the grandstand represent a very important opportunity for the many young people in the area who will be able to train and enjoy themselves inside a fully efficient stadium. The city's municipal administration has been enthusiastic about the new state-of-the-art synthetic turf, an achievement that will make it possible to host high-level youth teams , including the youth teams of Virtus Entella - whose first team now plays in Serie B - the amateur club Chiavari Calcio Caperana that will be able to train and play every game in a field up to the highest football levels.
