THE MONZELLO PITCHES SHINE OF A NEW GREEN

Italgreen totally renovated the playing fields that host AC Monza's training sessions

Villa D'Adda (BG), Dec. 6, 2019 - Italgreen has taken to the track with a new project: the refurbishment of the synthetic turf fields intended for the training sessions of the big Brianza team and the 13 teams that use the same spaces every day to train and play their scheduled matches. Since September, competitions have changed face and athletes can compete in optimal conditions.

THE INTERVENTION.

The renovation started during the summer break. Specifically, it was a massive upgrade at the level of not only the fields, but also the facility's facilities. This is where Italgreen came into play, devoting itself to the resurfacing of the 11-a-side field in synthetic turf (previously grass), the soccercage in artificial turf(an old grass field) and a soccer cage in synthetic turf. The old 11-a-side field and soccer cage, given the state of use of the bottom, were creating difficulties for the players, who from this fall can finally play their home games on durable, strong, ISO 9001-certified and FIGC, FIR and FIFA-approved turf.

THE STORY CONTINUES

Italgreen thus confirms itself as a reference point in the sports scene for the creation of high-performance synthetic turf fields. The company's collaboration with the biggest teams in the Italian Serie A is no secret. Suffice it to recall Chievo Verona's training fields made in 2014 and the three fields for Juventus in 2015. The company's plus, recognized by industry professionals, is given by the 360-degree monitoring of all project phases: from production, to delivery, to installation.

Even for the Monzello sports center, the Bergamo-based company studied in detail the best solutions to be applied to the Monza fields. After an in-depth examination, the choice for the 11-a-side field fell on the 100% recyclable 52 Lesmo 3S system with Ecogreen coating Geofill infill and Next underlayment. This synthetic turf allows to achieve levels of ball bounce and sliding comparable to those of a real grass lawn. Professional and experienced players confirm that its morphology ensures optimal foot support and twisting during all variations of movement made in a playing session. Lesmo 3S also ensures complete shock absorption and the necessary return of stored energy. The Next carpet pad, also developed and manufactured by Italgreen SpA, also optimizes the antishock performance of the synthetic turf system, improving its performance during sports practice.

THE FEEDBACK FROM THE PROTAGONISTS

Not only technique, but the eye also wants its part, as does the feel of the game. That's why the extremely natural look of the field is provided by the Geofill® system, Italgreen's patented natural infill that gives the synthetic turf system a natural feel.

"We are proud of this new intervention. It represents an important milestone for us because it reconfirms the industry's trust in the quality of our product and our constant commitment to research and development to meet the diverse needs of professional soccer every day. We are happy to receive continuous appreciation and confirmation from players, coaches, but also physiotherapists: all insiders who get to touch our work on the field," says Daniele Gilardi, CEO of Italgreen.

A.C. Monza CEO Adriano Galliani asserts , "We are pleased to have started a partnership with ITALGREEN. Our philosophy is to privilege and exalt everything that is MADE IN ITALY and this is the reason that led us to choose as a partner this company, a leader in the production of synthetic soils for more than 30 years. In fact, their working methodologies, from the production of the yarns, to the realization of the synthetic turf mats, up to the design and construction of the facilities, take place entirely in Italy, where A.C. Monza aims to achieve good results in sports, making use of important collaborations such as the one that was born with ITALGREEN."
