Italgreen Synthetic Turf for Argentinian rugby
New project for the Alumni Association.
The versatility of Italgreen's solutions finds a new and authoritative reference in the realization curated for the Alumni Association, an important Argentine Rugby club. Founded in 1951, the club, while competing at the highest levels of Serie A, has kept faith with a philosophy of sport closely linked to the educational value of this discipline.
Work on the synthetic turf upgrading of Central Park, the Argentine rugby club's training sector, will be carried out in the coming months to allow the team to be able to test the extraordinary performance guaranteed by Italgreen's signature synthetic grass in spring 2017. For the Villa D'Adda reality, this new project represents an important and new milestone that confirms the company's ability not only to respond to the needs of the football system but also to create ad hoc designed products able to meet the sporting needs of other important disciplines such as rugby.

In fact, it is well known that those of the oval ball are the most stressed playing fields that need state-of-the-art solutions to offer players a perfect field 365 days a year. In this sense, Italgreen's new synthetic turf turfs guarantee extraordinary performance. Combined with Geofill organic infill, they have enabled them to obtain IRB (International Rugby Board) certification and to be the official surface of the 2009 European Rugby Championships played at the Bessa Boavista Stadium in Portugal.
Italgreen's focus on the sport has led the company, over the years, to be a major player in the construction of rugby facilities first in Italy and increasingly around the world with the realization of projects for important and prestigious clubs of which the Alumni Association is an emblematic example.
