Padel a sport for everyone

Padel in recent years has been experiencing exponential growth as evidenced by the 4,700 courts installed in Italy and 800,000 regular players.

One of the peculiarities of the sport is that it is an activity suitable for everyone. This is one of the triggers for the strong demand, which is triggering the emergence of new tournaments and events around the world.

Corriere dello Sport has therefore chosen to organize the first Italian award totally dedicated to padel: the Italian Padel Awards.

The night of the padel stars

Tomorrow, Thursday, September 22 in Rome at the Sala delle Armi at the Foro Italico, the first Italian Padel Awards will be staged.

A grand exclusive gala evening to celebrate the padel Oscars, hosted by Alessandro Lupi, former professional soccer player and current Sky Sport journalist.

The Padel Awards will be attended by the strongest Italian and international padelists and also distinguished personalities from the world of sports, entertainment and institutions.

There will be seven categories for a total of 16 awardees:

Legend, dedicated to the great players in the history of padel;
Team, dedicated to teams;
Rising Star, dedicated to emerging players;
Club, dedicated to facilities;
Academy, dedicated to schools;
Amateur, dedicated to the amateur world;
Ambassadors, dedicated to all those personalities who, through their passion for padel and their great popularity, are contributing greatly to the spread of the sport.

The Padel Oscars will be awarded during a gala evening that will feature one after the other on stage with the greats of the sport and representatives of the major companies that are part of the industry.

The Padel Awards, in fact, could not miss the presence of Italgreen, which will cover the role of technical sponsor of the event and more.

The organizers of one of the most anticipated events in the panorama of this sport, have relied on the company, a leader for 40 years in the production of synthetic grass, to set up more than 280 square meters of blue turf that will cover the entire area of the stage, garden and catering area of the Foro Italico.

12 padel pro, the official turf of the FIP (International Padel Federation), will be the synthetic grass used. An optimal choice due to its unique characteristics that distinguish it both aesthetically and in terms of performance.
