A triple-digit percentage development in recent years that affects several statistical items, in addition to membership. Particularly noteworthy are the data on facilities, which more than others are the thermometer of the widespread diffusion of this discipline in everyday life. The more people play, the more demand there is, and the more the number of fields and facilities expands.
From 2019 to the present, the number of affiliated clubs has grown by 327 percent, from 371 to 1584, and by as much as 480 percent the number of affiliated fields, from 681 to 3950. Looking at the mapping across the country, it shows that the total number of camps is currently 6923, an increase of 278% from 2020, and there are 2650 clubs, 220% more than three years ago.

A discipline that, with its unmistakable traits, presents a huge growth potential in memberships, estimated at around 30 percent annually, which could soon allow it to reach the dizzying heights already conquered by tennis.
The continued expansion of the sport has generated a business that has captured the interest of numerous entrepreneurs, fostering the birth and growth of companies specializing in the construction of padel courts. For this reason, the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation has decided to launch a project, aimed at providing a further boost to the penetration of padel in Italy, involving numerous companies in the sector.
Among the selected partners, Italgreen was chosen as one of the official suppliers of padel courts for the FITP, under three-year agreements. The companies involved, including Italgreen, will provide the Federation with a list of all Italian sports clubs and associations that have purchased or will purchase padel courts from them during the term of the agreement. This will provide the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation with a useful resource to constantly monitor the evolution of sports facilities and have an up-to-date picture of the growth of padel in Italy.
